Four Cables Slouch

(Note: If  you are having trouble opening the .pdf, see my post entitled “Four Cables Slouch – The Blog Form!”.  It has the whole pattern copied and pasted into the blog so no download necessary.  Still…the pdf is shiny and pretty, so if it opens for you so much the better.  I don’t know what the deal is, but people have had issues and so I wanted to make sure that the pattern is available.)

I couldn’t wait until later today.  My little munchkin woke me up at 7:30 this morning and so I thought that I might as well get something done.  Oh perfection.  I’m listening to Pandora radio and ‘Mrs O’ by the Dresden Dolls just came on. Love it!

Anyway, to the matter at hand.  Here is my fourcablesslouch.  As noted, it was finished last night.

Here’s a daylight picture of it, not on my head.

Four Cables Slouch

It turned out well for me, and I hope it turns out well for others.

How much wool did this take to make and what of ply is it?

    • DrPurloknitz / Dec 1 2012 5:42 pm

Between 200 and 220 yards and I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease the first time I made it. It’ll work in any standard worsted weight yarn.

it wont allow me to open the file and i was wondering if you could tell me what type of program it is

It’s a pdf. I’m not sure why it isn’t working. It works for me so…I don’t know. Anywho, I copied it into a blog post here, so that’s the pattern. I swear though…tomorrow I will try to figure out what the deal with the pdf is and why other people can’t open it.

I love your hat!!! What type of yarn did you use? Looks like some sort of cotton or cotton blend…sport or worsted?

    • AbsolutKnitNut / Feb 8 2011 8:03 am

I believe that it’s some leftover Caron Simply Soft, it’s acrylic. I use it all the time for worsted weight projects because it’s soft and cheap. 😉 I am, after all, a girl on a budget. Thanks for the love!
